The 50 State Quarter Program is a 10-year coin program from the United States Mint. Every year, since 1999, the Mint has released 5 new state quarter designs. The quarters are being released in the order in which the colonies, and then states, entered the Union. The designs are usually released in January, March, May, August, and October, with a production time of 10 weeks per coin design.
