Important information about classroom lessons

  1. Always put the lesson number on your Social Studies notes. The lesson number is located at the top of the board, next to the date.
  2. Once you have completed your notes, it is important to pay attention to the lesson. The notes are just words on a page. To understand them fully, you must listen and participate in the lesson.
  3. Keep your notes organized by lesson number. When I give a test, I will state, the test will cover lessons 25 to 32, for example. So keep your lessons in order. Don't waste time looking for you notes, when you could be studying.
  4. The test will be easy, if, you keep your notes organized and participate in the lessons.

Important information about homework assignments

  1. Always copy your homework down FIRST - this way you know you have it before the period ends.
  2. Now that you have the homework assignment, make sure it is completed for the next day. The homeworks are short assignments to help you understand that day's lesson or to prepare for future lessons. The fastest way to LOWER your grade is by not doing your homework.
