Mr. G's Classroom Rules and Procedures
- Do not be late to class! If you are late, you must have a pass or a point is deduced from your quarterly average.
- No gum, food, drinks, playing cards or toys in class. Electronic devices, including cell phones must be off during class or will be confiscated.
- Enter the room quietly and sit in your assigned seat. Do not wait by the door or in the hall for the late bell to ring.
- Clear your desk of all material, not related to the Social Studies.
- Copy the homework assignment down FIRST.
- Begin your class work, with a heading & keep your notes in a separate spiral book or binder section.
- Raise your hand to participate in the lesson; calling out, talking or disturbing the lesson will lower your grade.
- Do not leave the room without permission or the pass. Remain in your seat at all times
during the period. Only one student at a time can be out of the room.
- The bell is for the teacher. Push your chair in before leaving the room.
- Study for your exams (use your classnotes, hand-outs and textbook). A full period review will be given
before every test, if possible. There are no surprises on my tests. There will be 2 or 3 tests
per marking quarter, and maybe a quiz or two. ALL tests must be shown to an adult at home, returned to class
signed and then placed in your work folder.
- All Social Studies projects must be completed on time in order to receive credit.
- Late homework assignments will NOT be accepted. Absentees will be given additional time to hand in any missed homeworks.
If you are absent, bring a note from an adult stating why you were out.
- Follow all other directions given during the period, including emergency & fire drills procedures.
- Respect your fellow students. Pushing, name-calling, and fighting will not be tolerated,
and will affect both your class and conduct grade. Your conduct can affect your class grade.
