The Different Jobs of Mr. G
Before becoming a teacher, I held many other jobs. Several times throughout my life, I
had two or more jobs at the same time. Below is the list of jobs that I have held.
- Stock person and stock manager for a retail store in Kings Plaza (Frankel's - no longer there).
- Worked in my godparent's retail store - stocking shelves, assisting customers, manning the cash register and lottery machine.
- Managed and operated a private santitation corporation in midtown Manhattan.
- Worked Shea Stadium security during the Mets' 1986 Playoff and World Series games. I was there, when they won it.
- Worked as a Peace Officer and toll collector for the Triborough Bridge and Tunnel Authority at the Verrazano Bridge.
- Consultant and driver for a second private santitation corporation in Manhattan and The Bronx.
- School custodial assistant at two different public schools.
- School Paraprofessional in several schools in District 20 and 21.
