My Education
I grew up in the Marine Park area and received most of my education from local schools.
Below is the list of public schools I attended.

I attended P.S. 207 from kindergarten to sixth grade. P.S. 207 went up the sixth
grade. In 207, I held several school jobs including; door-monitor, newspaper delivery monitor,
and lunch monitor.
Junior High School

YES, I was a student at I.S. 278! I attended Marine Park - 278 for only 2 years, from 7th to 9th grades.
During my stay at Marine Park, the school had a 2-year SP (Special Program). So, I went from 7th
to 9th grade - skipping 8th grade. I.S. 278 contained 7th, 8th, and 9th graders, not the current
6th, 7th, 8th grades. In 278, I worked in the school supply room and music room.

I attended Edward R. Murrow High School for 3 years (9th grade was in 278). In high school
I focused my studies on Social Studies (American, and Global History, Geography, Government and Constitutional
Law), Sciences (including; Astronomy, Biology, Chemistry, Meteorology, and Physics). For a
while, my major was actually Music; playing the drums, trumpet and other brass instruments.

I attended Brooklyn College intially majoring in Computer Science, in the early
1980's -- during the birth of the personal computer. However, I later went back to
"Brooklyn" to obtain my teaching certifications, with a major in American History. My areas of
focus included; Geography, Early Colonial America, American Government, American
Diplomatic History, Military Warfare and Strategy, Numismatics, and Archival Management. I was
so impressed with the quality of professors in the History Department at Brooklyn College, I
returned to obtain my Masters' degree.

While at "Brooklyn" for my Masters', I continued to focus on American History. I narrowed
my studies in Early Colonial Development, 20th Century American Diplomatic History, Local and
New York City History. My Masters' thesis is on file at the Brooklyn College Archives and Special
Collections. It is on United States Space Programs from the 1950's through early 70's. It is titled; "The Kennedy Gamble - The United States Manned Space Program."


Post-Graduate Studies
My post-graduate studies were obtained from various learning institutions. Areas of focus
included Time and Classroom Management, Conflict Resolution courses, Emergency Medical Training,
and more local history, including work on the archaeological site at the Lott House.
